Botanical Name - Bergenia cordifolia 'Dark Damsel'
Common Name - Pigsqueak, Heartleaf
Description - Mid pink flowers make a bright contrast over spreading clumps of deep green spoon-shaped leaves, turning are rich plum-red tones in winter. The flowers are taller rhubarb-red stems, semi-double, deep pink flowers rise in mid spring & autumn. Evergreen foliage and early flowering makes this a good plant for late winter colour. Low water requirements, incredibly hardy

Size - Grows to 10-15cm high x 30-40cm wide.
Use - Low growing plant, ideal for shady borders, under trees, down the south side of homes & clustered in perennial borders or container gardens.
Position - Shaded to part shade position.
Maintenance - Very low maintenance plant. Can be easily divided in winter
