Description - Salvia Mystic Spires is a compact variety that produces beautiful showy dark blue flower spires held above deep green foliage. The long flowering time extends from early summer to the winter. Producing masses of upright purple-blue flowers stalks giving great aesthetical value in the garden. Attracts many butterflies, birds and beneficial insects to the garden.
Flower Time - Spring, Summer, Autumn
Size - Grows to 60cm tall.
Use - It is great in landscapes and containers. They can be grown as a border, to line pathways as informal hedges, in containers as a single item or mixed with other perennials to form a lovely cottage garden.
Position - Full sun
Maintenance - Remove spent flowers to encourage repeat flowering. Prune back hard at the start of spring to encourage repeat flowering. Prune back hard at the start of spring to allow new growth. Fertilise when planting and in spring.
