Our Ecosystem

Nature is an essential aspect of our business. So we find it critical to maintain our local environment and reduce our impact—both locally and in the wider ecosystem. Thus sustainability underpins a long-term strategy within the business. This commitment is evident throughout the business practices, including integrated pest management, water recycling, waste reduction, recycling, reuse, and green procurement practices.

We practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM) which are crop management techniques that reduce the impact on an ecosystem compared to conventional management techniques:

We release 'Good Bug', which have co-evolved alongside pests. These 'Good Bugs' pray upon the pests and reduce their impact on our crops. That assists us in reducing our chemical spraying and only spot spraying when necessary and timing our spraying according to weather conditions.

We post our little friends on our socials and on our website here!

We continue to build and maintain gardens within our nursery to provide shelter for bugs and animals alike.

To find out more about IPM click here to visit 'EPA NSW' for general information. Click here to visit 'The Conversation' which has scientific papers on current IPM research written by scientists for non-scientists to understand.

We have a thriving ecosystem within our property aided by all of our above efforts!
