Description
Description
Meighan’s Magic makes a beautiful addition to the garden with summer through to winter flowering. A fabulous low ‘shrubby’ Salvia which has excellent tolerance of our hot, dry conditions. The flowers are visited by bees, birds and butterflies, especially in the late autumn and winter when food becomes scares. Tolerates moderate frosts and is drought hardy, very Waterwise once established. Partners well with Salvia Waverley and Magenta Magic. An Australian hybrid from South Australia with the parentage a cross with Anthony Parker.
Care
Care
Prune to thicken and you will be rewarded with a beautiful display. Apply a slow-release fertilizer after pruning in spring. Deadhead throughout the year to encourage more flowering. Cover the roots with mulch during winter for the cold and summer for the dry. Cut back hard once your frosts have finished in spring.
